WooHoo! Officially received the RFO discussed in the last blog. We were surprised to see that our report date to our new assignment (Katterbach Germany) is the 22nd of Sept! This is fast in itself but with the other circumstances involved it is almost insane!
Lee leaves in 15 days. He leaves for 6 weeks! He will return on or around the 23rd of August, which means he has less than a month til he has to be foot on ground in Germany. But it gets better, they allow 10 days of travel which means that technically, they can arrange his flight for as soon as 12Sept. UGH!
So as soon as we had our RFO we ran onto post. We went to the first place which is to get a briefing of what has to be done etc. The guy was not there that we needed. So we figured we would run to get our passports taken care of. Realized then that I did not bring our birth certificates. So we ran home and grabbed them. For those who do not know the area, when I say ran home I really mean 20 minutes to get home and 20 minutes back.
We went back to see if that guy was around to do the briefing, still not. So down to passports we went. Guess who was there!! The Rodriguez family. I will have to do another post on them to properly introduce them. But they are going to Katterbach also, about a month after us. So we hung out with them while we all waited for our passports to be done.
Hai and I got our passport applications done and they should be ready by the 5th of Sept. Hailee's passport photo is tooooo stinking cute. Actually I think the best one belonged to Phoebe (Kim and Jays youngest- she is 2). She had this "mad" face. It is so going to be a photo to bring out to show people in a few years!
After that we ran upstairs to that guy again and he was there! YEAH! He rocked. He got Lee all squared away and reassured me that it is possible to meet the timeline for us to go with him hopefully in Sept. But if worse comes to worse, Hai and I will have to wait a little longer to go to Germany but only a few weeks at the most. That is not that bad though cause that just means that he will be set up by the time we arrive.
So now Lee and I are busting our behinds to finish some stuff in the house so that we can get it on the market next week. Luckily it is really not that much and we should be able to knock it out tomorrow.
Wish us luck!!!

PS- talked my mom into taking Bullet tonight for sure! I know that little bit of unsure she is carrying with her will be gone the minute she comes next week and remembers what an amazing dog he is!!
