WWTK week 9- the fabulous questions are from Mamarazzi this week... come link up with these fabulous ladies...
SS , Janette, Mamarazzi, and IA...
1.} You have been asked to give a 10 minute speech to teenage girls. What is it about?
That life will be different than they can even imagine in ten years. The mean people, the "cool" things, and the feelings they have now will be totally different then.
Stop worrying about keeping up with every tread and pleasing those silly boys/friends etc. In ten years- you will want to be something different than you think you want to be.
Prepare yourself for the future. Study. Find happiness. Find yourself. Be true to yourself.
The big stressors you have now- you will long for later.
Do not grow up so fast!
2.} Do you have a pet? Tell us about them. No pets? Why?
We have one pupparoo! His name is Bane. He is a mutt we got from a rescue shelter about 7 years ago. We love him but honestly- I do not trust him! He is never allowed in a room unattended with lil man and I still worry about him with Hais. He is just a little skittish around kiddos- so we keep him away when other kids are around...
As much as a pain as that is- we love him...
Cannot wait til we move back to the states- cause we are going to get Hais a golden retriever... I want my kiddos to grow up with a dog they can actually play with!! lol
3.} What is the biggest inconvenience about the place you're currently living?
How long do you have to listen to my list?? lol
Here it goes... the Euro stinks and therefor whatever I buy on the economy costs a small fortune. We are limited on gas- we get rations- go over rations- pay Euro...
No big super stores like Target and Walmart... either our tiny place on post or drive to a larger post store about an hour and a half away...
NO MEXICAN FOOD!! Yep- you heard me- NO MEXICAN FOOD!
9 hour time difference between here and my family/friends at home... makes phone calls hard...
At least $2500 to fly home to the states for the entire family...
My list could go on and on...
But honestly- I love this place... in two years when we move home to the states- I will miss it!
4.} What do you think is the single best decision you have made in your life so far?
To join the Army. The Army gave me confidence, my health back, my husband and eventually my kiddos.
Not to mention- amazing opportunities to travel the world!

Edinburgh Scotland

London
5.} What are the THREE "nevers" of your life? {things you would never do or have never done}.
-Never leave my children...
-Never eat any sort of animal innerds... brains- hearts- livers... how can people eat that stuff?
-Never stop being a little girl. At almost 32- I still call daddy "daddy"... I still long for a hug from him everyday. I still call my mom ALOT! I get teary eyed everytime I am flying into Sacramento airport- knowing I am about to see them!

That would be horrible not to be able to get gas and get in the car and just drive!! Or shop at big store!!
and you should make your own mexican food. Mine is way better than what I get at a restuarant!
no mexican food that simply wont do lol. that is very cool that you've been all over the world though :)
I love all your answers!! Mostly #4 because it makes me so proud of you!! You are serving your country and the fact that you are away from family and friends and live in a place less desirable to most, its amazing what you do!! thank you!! No Mexican? Ridiculous.. I think they shut down the burger king trailers when my hubs was in Iraq.... I mean come on people.. what's the harm in a burger and fries... and get this girl some queso!
That is some inconvenience.
I wouldn't eat the insides of an animal either--as a kid my parents made liver on occasion--blech!
When my friend and I went camping up north and realized there wasn't a run down pizza joint within a 25 mile radius (who am I kidding, more like 50 mile radius) we decided one day we want to open one there. You should do that with a Mexican food shack...maybe even a taco truck?!
NO MEXICAN FOOD? I couldn't survive there. Nope. I need my Mexican food on a weekly basis.
I love that you get teary eyed when you fly home. That's so sweet. I call my dad daddy. I love that!!
Thanks for linking up with us!
(And thank you for serving our country.)
It looks like we could share a speech. Wise words from woman who have been there done that!
I have a dog that we needed to keep away from kids until they were bigger then her. Now that the girls and their friends are bigger there are no issues!
You had me at NO MEXICAN food...move.
"Eat animal innerds" ewww who does that?!!?
Thanks for linking up!
You may think I'm wierd, but I LOVE liver! Ha!
I'd have to travel (and far if I had to) for some mexican food!
Thank you to you and your husband for serving this country! You are amazing people! And I can't believe you live without Mexican food. LOL

No Mexican food???? I lost all concentration after that...
No mexican food? That sounds dreadful! I'm so sorry. Hopefully you know how to cook it at home.
Ack, I'm really worried about my 8 year old pup and how he will be around kids. I'm hoping we can train him, but I don't think I'll want to leave him unattended either. Hopefully he will surprise me and be awesome with kids.
