Linking up this week with one of my new Link Ups... I need accountability in my life, why not start now... this is a new week!
If you read my post yesterday and suffered through it- thank you. I try not to "lose it" too much and honestly I have WAY more good days than bad. For instance, today. I woke up in a great mood- after a great nights sleep. I have cuddled with little man and gotten sissy to school without any major arguments over brushed teeth or crap shoved in her backpack that shouldn't be there.
While I said that this cancer has not given me some new appreciation for life- it has made me choose my battles. I want happiness. I want smiling kids and fun days. It is not 100% realistic all the time but I am aiming at more plus then minus, you know?
Anyhow- onto my 5 for Five!
5 Goals for this Week...
1. WATER WATER WATER! I pulled my handy dandy water bottle out this am and filled it to the brim. I put a piece of paper on the fridge. Each time I fill up- I make a tally. My goal is 5-6 bottles a day.
2. Work out 3-4 days this week. The snow and 13 degree weather have me wanting to hang inside and hibernate. Still no excuse. I have a brand new year old elliptical (hear that- brand new- year old- tells you how many times it has been used!) downstairs. I also have an awesome weight machine that is beckoning to be used!
Add in all the Wii Fit stuff, DVD's, and millions of pinned home workouts on Pinterest!
3. Get my Welcome Letter out to the FRG stat! I have been an FRG Leader before but this is different. First of all, this unit is brand new. Like the first unit stood up from scratch by the Army in 25 years! So I am starting with nothing. Which is bad but also good:) The female commander is also one who is super involved which is different as well... I spent hours the other night setting up our email account. Now I need to get that Letter out and start getting our first meeting planned!
4. Figure out why the VA is dragging their feet! That makes me laugh. Has the VA ever been super efficient? Anyhow- I need to contact that and see what is holding up my Certificate of Eligibility. I am all ready to start my Masters program but waiting on that one piece of paper!
5. Go to bed at a decent time each night. No more 11:30 bedtimes!
Happy Monday!!

YAY! We are SO happy to have you link up with us! I'm so excited about this :) GOOD LUCK with your goals this week! I just KNOW that you can do it! I'm excited to hear how you did next week! Thanks again for linking up :)
The VA ... drag their feet?! Since when?! My husband got medically retired back in 2010 and it seemed like it took FOR-EV-ER because the VA just sat on paperwork. They get so backlogged -- we found calling and just putting that little birdie in their ear helped to keep it fresh in their mind. Even if it didnt actually do anything to speed up the process, it helped us stay a little calmer about it!
Thanks for the follow! I am excited to read about your half marathon training! I ran one a couple years ago and I LOVED it. Good idea taping paper to the fridge to mark how much water you drink; I may heave to steal that idea.
