Challenge Day 3

Ok- people- I know it is technically day 4 of the challenge... but I warned you that this would probably happen... thought it would be later than day 3 though- lol

Favorite show? By far- Brothers & Sisters.

I had seen it randomly the last few years but never invested myself into it. Then this last year I started watching routinely. It is season 5 here- so I bought seasons 1-4 and watched them all in a row. I love it.

There is something so real about this family. Clearly- it is a little ridiculous at times. I realize that.

Yet- the sense of family is what I love. They always end up around that table. Eating together. Celebrating together. Getting through things--- together.

I have fallen in love with Justin and his tie to war and the military. Clearly- that is something that I can relate to there. It may seem crazy- for him to leave his wife and run off to war- the same war that nearly killed him last time he went. The same war that contributed to his drug habit. Yet- I got it. I got hie desire to go to somewhere that he could contribute and help people- when he felt so helpless after the accident his family was in.

I adore Nora's desire to make everything better in her families lives. She feels she can "cook" things away.

I cried with them when the accident happened. I laughed with them when Kevin would call Kitty to tell her something about Sarah- not knowing Sarah was on the phone already with Kitty.

I smiled when their answer to everything was to drink wine.

I longed to be at their table- no matter what they were dealing with...

Maybe part of it is being soooo far from home- missing my family- wanting those ties that they have- the family a short drive away...
