Prague

A gorgeous painting we bought of the city
Really- as if living in Europe is not the best already... I mean the bread, coffee, housing, experiences...
But we can completely take advantage of 4 day weekends...
This weekend was Prague- Czech Republic...

Some of the amazing eggs they make in Prague- look at the detail in the painted ones!

Gorgeous wooden tulips (my favorite flowers)- and even better- I cannot kill them!

We spent a few hours on Sunday morning touring the Jewish Quarter- it was amazing. Inside one section- the names of all the Prague Jews who were sent to different concentration camps were {hand written} on the walls... it told the family last name- all the members sent away- where they are from and last known date of life...
The picture above is of the only Prague cemetary for Jews for almost 300 years (ended sometime in 1700's)... they packed SOO many into the cemetary- the stones have all shifted..

The stained glass in the Castle Cathedral was one of the most amazing ones I have seen... There was a ton of glass throughout and it was literally breathtaking... I could have stood there forever looking at them

Hais with her new Marionette Spotty- Prague is known for them

We stayed at the Marriott. Amazing hotel. ***** For other mommas out there- five star hotels are fabulous- right? But it is no different than a two star when you have kiddos with you... the beds were indeed comfy- but the ten month old still woke me up at 6:30am :)

Lil man did wonderful. It was about 30 degrees (without taking into account the windchill factor- and it was WINDY!) The first day we took him around in our high speed Kelty 3000- that thing rocks- wish we would of thought to take the windshield for it though! He slept in it twice in about 4 hours...
The second day of touring- we used the stroller and the plastic weather cover- which was awesome since it was lightly snowing! He napped in that twice too!

Inside of the cathedral

Standing in the Old Town Square. This is day three- with the light snow on the ground. I could have sat in this square for hours- in one of the outdoor cafes that were in closed in.... with heater stands in the middle of the tables. They had big wicker chairs with cushions... so awesome!

Looking over the city from one of the highest points- the Cathedral tower at the Castle... I made Lee climb the 287 (I think) stairs- cause it wasn't happening with lil man cause he was napping... plus- who would want to climb that many stairs with a 20 lb kid on your back??

On our walk through Prague to the Castle section. Behind us is the Charles Bridge- a pedestrian bridge that is lined with artists and fun stuff for sale... You can see the castle up on the hill behind us...
Prague was ABSOLUTELY amazing!! We will definitely go back at least one more time. But next time it will be in warmer weather! It would be an amazing trip to take visitors too---- just saying--- hint hint!!
