Sit Ups

10! Yep-- I did 10 situps! Some of you may be giggling right now.
"Seriously? She is excited about ten?"
But I am!
When I was in the Army- I was in the best shape of my life. I could run 2 miles in 14:45.
I could do 55 pushups in 2 minutes.
I could just pass the required number of situps I had to do in 2 minutes (think it was 21 I had to do??)...
I have never had a strong core. I had a flat tummy but weak abs... fact of life for me.
So... after baby 2- those weak abs are sorta nonexistent!! Seriously!
A few months ago I did an Aerobox class with my friend L'Chelle. Both of us were post- baby (me #2- her #4). We laugh about the "old man jiggle" surrounding our midsections.
Well- part of the class required us to lie on our back and do situps and punch our partners
boxing pads. I could not do ONE situp. NOT ONE! Even with her standing on my feet!
I had to do modified crunches and still BARELY accomplished those... sad!
So- a few times after that I have sat on the floor here in my living room and put my feet under the couch and tried a situp. Could not do it. UGH!
Today... I thought- "Lets try again. Even if I can only do 1- maybe next week I can do 3."
I did 10!!! I could have done a few more I think but lil man chose this time to want to walk on over and lay on mommys belly and drool on my face... he was quite distracting. Plus- honestly- I was so distracted by the fact that I was just able to do 10 situps.
Yep people- 10. Seems silly but today I am celebrating those 10...
